We had so much fun hosting our first wedding shower at our new house this past weekend for our fabulous friends, Ian and Kristina! One of the best go-to shower themes is Mexican. Why? 1. Because everyone loves Margaritas and 2. Everyone loves fajitas and they are cheap to make! The theme itself can be pretty cheap to create a festive vibe, which is one of the reasons why we chose it. I tried to jazz it up a little by making it a bit more modern and simple. Check out a few of the images I captured of the shower decor!
How awesome are these invitations that I got from Paperless Post? I thought they set the scene for our Modern Fiesta!
I have so many random glass vases lying around. I filled the bottom with a couple of handfuls of rocks that I got from a Nursery then stuck a succulent on top. I also had this vintage corona bar table that I got a couple years ago at an antique mall.
This Cake may be one of the cutest cakes ever but let me assure you, it tastes even better than it looks. Creme De La Creme Cake Company based in Fort Worth makes the worlds best white cake with white frosting, hands down!
Another cheap decor idea for a mexican fiesta, these awesome candles I got from Tom Thumb in the Mexican Food isle! So cheap and so cute! I also bought these mexican yoga blankets from this etsy shop.
My house is already decorated with skulls, just because it is our style and we like it! We dressed them up with flower crowns and sombreros to add a little pizzaz. I got these cheap/adorable flower crowns from Alamo Fiesta. I also got the bride a white one to wear during the party!
My dear friend that is extremely talented, Carrie, helped design and create these adorable koozies. Check out the rest of her stuff at her website Pearly Gates Designs. I use her for invites and koozies all of the time!
Lastly? The best way to spice up the shower your hosting? Lighting. Nothing makes one feel more festive than some fun cafe lights or even Christmas Lights wrapped around a tree.
