Bunless Lamb Burgers with Mint Sauce

Since I eat primarily Whole30, bunless burgers are on repeat in our household and I am not mad about it! I love a good bunless burger. To change things up a bit, I opted for a lamb burger and topped it with this delicious mint sauce!

This mint sauce also goes great on this Harissa Roasted Chicken Breasts if you have leftover sauce!!

For the Mint Sauce
  1. 1 cup homemade or primal kitchens mayo
  2. 2 cloves garlic, minced
  3. 1 tbsp. red wine vinegar
  4. 1/3 cup packed mint leaves
  5. juice of 1 lemon
  6. 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
  7. salt and pepper, to taste
For the Burgers
  1. 1 lb. ground lamb
  2. 1/4 tsp. dried oregano
  3. 1/4 tsp. ground cumin
  4. salt and pepper, to taste
For serving
  1. baby arugula
  2. sliced tomatoes
  3. Marinated Cucumbers and Onions
Instructions
  1. Combine all of the mint sauce ingredients in a food processor or blender and blend until combined. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  2. In a bowl, combine the lamb, dried oregano, and cumin with salt and pepper to taste. Using your hands, knead the meat until the spices are just combined (don't over work the meat).
  3. Heat a cast iron skillet or grill over medium-high heat. If i am using a cast iron, I like to spray avocado oil or olive oil on the bottom of the skillet. Grill the burgers on both sides until it is cooked to your liking, I did mine for about 4 minutes per side in a cast iron skillet.
  4. Serve burgers over baby arugula, sliced tomatoes, some marinated cucumbers and red onions (optional), and with the mint sauce.
