A big huge thank you to my best friend, Kourtney Little, for sharing her “Best Of’s” of San Antonio with us! Kourtney is my friend from college whom I studied abroad with, where we became best friends. The beauty of our friendship is not only that we feel like sisters and can trust each other with anything, but also that we both *really love food*. Traveling together is so much fun, so I knew I could trust her to put together a great list of good eats in the lovely San Antonio, Texas.
I must add, we visit San Antonio fairly often, especially since Kourtney and her family live there, and Clayton and I have decided that if we lived anywhere other than the DFW metroplex, San Antonio would be first on our list. We absolutely love the city, the people that live there, the delicious food, and how family friendly it is. During our last visit, we finally splurged and stayed at The Hotel Emma and I must say, it was my favorite hotel I’ve stayed at in a long time. It’s beautiful, the rooms are lovely, the staff is friendly and helpful, and it’s located right smack dab in the middle of The Pearl district. Kourtney recommends visiting the Pearl District, and I can’t agree with her enough. We loved spending Saturday and Sunday morning walking through the farmers market, shopping, eating and drinking, and letting the kids run around the open lawn and the splash pad.
Okay, without further ado, here is Kourtney’s list! Thank you, Kourtney!

Pretty good list! I only have one point of contention. I’m a huge burger fan, and not to take away from the uniqueness of Chris Madrids or Chesters, but if were arguing “best” here then we need to include Longhorn Cafe in some sense.
This is an amazing list!! So many of me and my family’s favorites. El Mira Sol is my favorite upscale Mexican, and owned by the same family as Soluna! Rosario’s prickly pear margarita may be my favorite in the city though, and they also have phenomenal chicken tortilla soup. Also, Las Palapas is the best when you want late night breakfast tacos–delicious, and open 24 hours a day (except on Sunday’s). 😊
