The Best Taco Meat

Let’s get basic here and talk about taco meat. I totally realize that you all know how to whip up some taco meat for a taco salad or tacos; however, a lot of you ask how I whip up my taco meat? A few extra (yet simple) steps make this taco meat so extra delicious. It’s nothing fancy, but dang, this really is The Best Taco Meat!

It’s a staple in our home. I always keep ground beef or turkey in my freezer for when I just don’t have time to run to the grocery store so that I can thaw it out and whip this up for dinner any day of the week. I throw this in a bowl with any type of salad fixings, or stuff it in a Siete Foods Grain Free Tortilla for a real taco!

  1. Hi! I’m doing a taco bar for my daughter’s birthday party. Would you mind telling me how I could make this in a crock pot? Or would I just need to make it as instructed and then transfer to the crock pot to keep warm? Thank you!!

    1. Hi! I have not made this in a crockpot so I would suggest making it as instructed then transferring it as you mention. Have fun!

  2. Love the idea of tomato paste. Whats a good sub for adobo spices? I have chili powder, cumin, oregano etc all in my pantry.

  3. Good to know! I love the simple additional of the beef broth (I would add just water, but I bet the broth would enhance the flavor) and tomato paste. Gonna try it out for taco Tuesday!

  4. This is also a staple at our house! I love how foolproof ground meat is. Like you literally can’t mess it up haha!
